Living History at Marshall Gold Discovery SHP
Experience a slice of life from the Gold Rush era
Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park in Coloma, California comes alive the second Saturday of each month from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the picnic area behind the museum. Experience what life was like during the California Gold Rush.
Visit the mercantile, the claims office, or the laundress. Learn skills such as carpentry, coopering and blacksmithing. And don't forget to visit historic buildings along Main Street.
Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park is located in the town of Coloma, 8 miles north of Placerville and 18 miles south of Auburn on Highway 49. For more information on the park visit www.parks.ca.gov/marshallgold.
