OLIVEHURST, CA (YSBC) - The Lindhurst football program is ready to restore the dominant legacy from the past and the Blazers’ believe it can be a reality.

Lindhurst’s culture has gained traction over the past few years as the Blazers have endured three-straight winning seasons.

The duo of Troy Spangler and Jeff Pierce Jr. have rebuilt the proud tradition of wearing the Blazers’ name across their chest.

Spangler expressed to Yuba Sutter Butte Colusa Sports that it was a great off season and the team is capable of continuing the success of the program.

Offense

Lindhurst returns elite backfield power and speed off the edge as sophomore Chan Hicks, Ismael Sanabia and Antonio Clements II return to the backfield for the Blazers with nearly 1,500 combined rushing yards in 2025.

Sanabia told YSBC that he is excited for him and his teammates to come in focused on Friday nights and representing the Lindhurst brand.

The Blazers are going to wear teams down by running the ball down their throat and no one will know who is going to get the ball on any play.

Lindhurst senior quarterback Angel Gonzalez will be taking the snaps for the Blazers and mixing up opposing defenses.

The Blazers offense had superior success in the Sutter football camp where the offense scored nine times in a row on the final day back in June.

Defense

The gritty defense of Lindhurst will be competitive and get after opposing quarterbacks and rushers.

The Blazers defense returns a lot of returners where everyone is capable of making plays throughout the field.

Of the defenders returning for Lindhurst this year, 13.0 sacks and a plethora of tackles for loss will have a hard time for hard-hitting plays.

Pierce Jr. told YSBC that the defense is going to be competitive and able to be the difference maker in a lot of games in the fight for a league title.
