New Art Exhibit
The Info-Center has just completed redecorating the walls with the art work of a new artist, not new in the artist world, just new at the Info-Center. I am pleased to announce the latest art work of our local artist John LaBouyer, a young artist who specializes in vivid characterizations of everyday life.
No stranger to the community arts, to date, he has sold nearly 100 paintings, and has additionally engaged many of his works around the community. He studied art with Drew Sallee, at our local Yuba Community College, and continues his education via online.
The James Beckwourth painting is one of many that is now being showcased at the Info-Center located at 317 4th Street in Historic Marysville. The piece it self relates to one of our pioneer heroes. Another piece just completed is that of the “Nakagawa Building” that was demolished earlier this year. Please come by and see more of John’s work. In tribute to the Stampede/Rodeo coming up he has a lovely painting with a western theme, vivid yellow-bold colors on displayed.
This weekend just take a stroll down D Street in Historic Marysville, visit the Info-Center and see if you can find more of our local businesses such as the Candy Box and Skip's Music proudly displaying John’s Art. Here’s a tease of what Is displayed on the walls inside the Info-Center please come by and check more of his art work. The Info-Center is opened from 11:00-4:00 Tuesday-Sunday.

Fundraiser for a Fence…
Our Story: The Historic Marysville Art Club has been in existence since 1913, it all began when a dozen women got together to form a club. Still in existence today with a membership of 107. The MAC invites you to help with our fundraising-efforts to raise funds to build a fence. Like others in the community are venue was hit hard during the Pandemic. With intruders destroying and damaging our historic building, we are now in need of funds to build a fence. On a good note we have painted the outside of the building and repaired some of the damage that was created.
The Marysville Art Club is looking for help from the public for assistance In some way. By purchasing a couple of tickets for a great dinner cooked by the family that owned “Panchos” in Yuba City. You can also help with a cash donation to help us reach our goal.
The Marysville Art Club is a non-profit organization in good standings. Thank you ahead of time. Tickets can be purchased at the Info-Center located at 317 4th Street in Marysville or Call Charline Gondor for details at 530-218-7065.
