Yuba Sutter Oratorio Society New Release

 YUBA-SUTTER REGION, CA (MPG) - Singers are needed to help present the 85th annual performance of Handel’s Messiah in our community.  Rehearsals are held each Monday evening beginning October 2 at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church 1390 Franklin Road, Yuba City, from 7:00 - 8:30 pm. 

 Singers should be high school age or older, but exceptional younger singers are also accepted.  Children 7 – 13 years old are invited to sing with the Messiah Children Choir which will help sing Hallelujah Chorus at the Messiah for Kids performance.  Children will rehearse on Mondays at 6:15 beginning October 16 at St. Andrew.

Performances of Messiah will be the first weekend in December also at St. Andrew.  Saturday, Dec. 2 at 11:00 am will be “Messiah for Kids and Their Families.”  The traditional performance will be Sunday afternoon, Dec. 3 at 4:00 pm. 

The program is a presentation of the Yuba Sutter Oratorio Society’s Yuba Sutter Symphony and Chorus.  Choral director is Linda Robinson. Children’s choir director is Alisan Hastey.  Orchestra and performance conductor is Corey Kersting.
